Today happened to be a "pre-fall" email (yes, four days after Memorial Day, and it's already time to look at fall shoes. One can never be too prepared, you know), and I thought, "Well, I won't be at all interested in this." I don't know about where you are, but, although it's absolutely beautiful today, we just suffered through a brutal heat wave that left me so miserable and lethargic, I found myself wondering if I'd ever again have the desire to soak in a hot bath.
Oh, how wrong could I be about my interest level? I took one look and could feel the little nip in the air. Is it any wonder when you compare the offerings in my last post to what's below that I so much prefer the cool breezes of fall over the sweltering summer heat? Look at the difference between what I can put on my feet. Actually, that first pair could be worn in the summer, surely?

How did you get on Jimmy Choo's mailing list? And you know what? Those are cute, those first shoes. Except I know that they are not going to feel cute. The other two, do-able. Here in Berkeley, it's cold and drippy, like it's fall. Boots completely workable.
Yes. Preferably on a beach. No! Hiking. Those are the perfect stilettos for hiking.

Bloglily, I'd love to say I'm on the Jimmy Choo email list, because I post pictures of their shoes and get free pairs in return. Alas! It ain't so. I'm not sure how I got on the list, but I think it was from clicking on a link someone sent me. Ahh, to live in Berkeley where one can wear boots in June. No, that first pair would not feel cute. Those must be worn while sitting atop a tall chair, with legs gracefully crossed, and someone to serve you whatever you need (also, someone to strap them onto you once you've perched atop the chair). Your feet never touch the floor.

Can't ever imagine wearing any of these pictures (luckily or unluckily)!! I'm all for reasonable shoes because we don't have a car and have to commute by train and foot. Jimmy Choo lives on a different planet!
I don't know, those first pair of shoes made my feet cramp just looking at them. The boots though, especially the ones with the buckles, super cute. Do you think they come in vagan?

Stef, oh yes, feet would definitely cramp in those, but I love the look anyway. I love the ones with the buckles most. Probably, you can get (a much cheaper) vegan pair somewhere.
Missy, you don't walk. You sit and order others around. I really don't know how I got on the email list, but my guess is you can visit the web site and find some link that allows you to request it.
Smithereens, extremely expensive shoes tend to be more comfortable than they look (she says, having tried some on, although never actually bought any), but you're right. People don't buy Jimmy Choo for comfort. Then again, I think the red boots would probably be quite comfortable.
Love the boots! Not so much the vaguely bondage top ones though. My calves are cramping just looking at those heels.
On another subject I've been meaning to commiserate on the non voluntary job loss. I hope you are managing to get some enjoyment out of the increase in free time in this transitional time.
Amanda, it's funny about those kinds of shoes. Sometimes they actually look far more uncomfortable than they are when you put them on. I'm doubtful about these, though. Not something I'd want to stand around or walk in.
I'm completely enjoying my non-voluntary job loss this go-round. Taking the summer off and trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, while spending lots of time reading and writing (not blogging much, though, which may be a good thing).
