How You Can Tell It's the Dog Days of August in the Blogosphere

1. I haven't posted anything in five days, and I've been home, and my computer has been working just fine.
2. I haven't been keeping up with other blogs.
3. I haven't bothered to respond to the comments on my last post.
4. I've got three books to review that sit around un-reviewed while I drink homemade lemonade (made from a recipe from one of the books I'm supposed to be reviewing for the Soups! On Challenge) and read People and Self magazines.
5. I am ready to hug Charlotte for saving the day by providing me with this very fun quiz, which is about all I can handle right now.
6. I've taken the quiz and can't argue with one word of it.

I promise to be back tomorrow for my last-minute (they meet tomorrow) post on the detective bookclub's Death in a White Tie.

(Oh, and apparently, since I have such very high standards, all those of you with whom I choose to hang out in the blogosphere should be very flattered.)

You Are Courier New

You have a deep appreciation for tradition and history.

You don't eschew modernity, but you do have a deep reverence for the past.

You are very literate. It's likely you enjoy writing and reading.

Some people may feel you're a bit cold, but you just have high standards for who you hang out with.

Susan, oh yes, you can tempt me (despite the fact I don't know who half these people are!).

You hit the proverbial nail. Thing are a little s-l-ow around the blogosphere aren't they? Especially over at mine!

It's definitely slow. It always gears up about a million notches in September/October though. And then there's NaBloPoMo to look forward to, right?

I took the quiz and I am apparently the font Impact, which I have never used and don't think I would. What does that say about me? That I don't like myself very much? LOL

I think my slump started mid-Julya nd I have been trying to pull myself out of it slowly, but it has been a little like being stuck in a swamp. I am hoping for some back-to-school motivation myself, but in the meantime I am rushing over to take that quiz myself. :-)

Definitely the dog days. All I want to do is sit around and stare at the wall. And eat. Fo some reason seeing all the squirrels running around packing it in for the winter has made me very hungry.

As for the font, I am Andale Mono which tells me I'm a geek. No surprise there!

I was Andale Mono too - another geek then.

Charlotte, well, I'm glad they're slow over at yours. Otherwise, I'd be wracking up posts to read when I finally get back in the groove!

NS, I've never heard of Impact. But that doesn't mean I've never heard of you!

ZM, I haven't noticed that you're in as much of a slump as I am. Seems you manage to post quite a bit (or maybe I've reached the "hallucinatory stage" of my own slump?

Stef, eating, yes! What is it about the eating? I thought summer is supposed to be the time when you're too hot to want anything more than, well, lemonade. However, I'm glad to see that, for once, someone else is the geek :-)!

Thank goodness I'm Helvetica. I think I would have had to shoot myself if I was Comic Sans. I hate that font with SUCH a passion! :D
